Dive Rarotonga Ltd is the leading PADI 5* Instructor Development Centre located in Arorangi, Rarotonga, offering a variety of dive experiences and professional training. The center is staffed by highly qualified PADI Instructors, Cook Island Boat Masters, and RYA qualified professionals. They offer a range of PADI courses, from Discover Scuba Experiences for beginners to Instructor levels, as well as EFR First Aid training. Dive Rarotonga also provides premium rental equipment and has a three-meter-deep training pool on-site. They conduct guided dive trips for qualified divers seven days a week and provide transportation to the harbor from the center.
Dive Rarotonga is also known for its extensive retail facilities, being the distributors for premium brands such as Suunto, Scubapro, Mares, and Atomic Aquatics in the Cook Islands. The center has a manufacturer-trained service technician and offers hydrostatic cylinder testing facilities. They also provide Coral Transplant and restoration projects, offering a unique opportunity to witness marine conservation efforts.
The center is proud to be the only dive center in the South Pacific with Green Fins digital membership, promoting sustainable diving practices for coral reef protection. It provides a unique experience for visitors to witness the vital role of coral reefs in marine biodiversity and gain insight into coral restoration efforts.
Dive Rarotonga operates from Monday to Saturday, offering quality diving experiences in a fun and safe atmosphere. The guided dive trips take place four times a day, exploring the beautiful reef surrounding Rarotonga. Boats are manned by rescue-trained staff with safety equipment including marine VHF radio, flares, DAN Oxygen, and first aid kits. The diving trips ensure safe dive times and depths within multilevel limits, with a maximum of six certified divers per trip. The center's qualified skipper and Instructor ensure safety and guidance throughout the dives.
Rarotonga is home to some of the best and diverse diving sites in the Pacific, with approximately 35 dive sites around the island. Dive Rarotonga conducts dives for certified divers outside the fringing reef, showcasing diverse marine life such as humpback whales, colorful coral, moray eels, reef sharks, turtles, and more. The center takes pride in having the most experienced dive guides in the Cook Islands, offering guided dives at no extra cost.
