The Island Feast with Fire & Dance Show is an authentic and captivating cultural experience located at Tamanu Beach Resort in Amuri, Aitutaki. This special feast takes place every Wednesday and Saturday, starting at 6:30pm, and features a showcase of traditional song, dance, and fire dancing performed by leading Aitutakian dancers Te Aito.
The evening begins with the opportunity to enjoy a cocktail, wine, or beer while listening to live music from the Te Aito Stringband. Guests are then invited to indulge in a buffet dinner consisting of island-inspired cuisine, followed by a delectable selection of tropical desserts. As the sun sets over the sparkling Aitutaki lagoon, the excitement builds for the traditional Fire and Dance Show.
At 8:30pm "Aitutaki time," the captivating Cultural Dance Show begins with Tamanu's performers dressed in traditional costumes, taking guests on a mesmerizing journey through the South Pacific. The performance includes authentic dance, beautiful costumes, hand clapping, and singing, all accompanied by the upbeat rhythm of Pacifica drums. Additionally, guests have the opportunity to witness the warrior men dancing with fire, while the Cook Island women move gracefully and sing in sweet harmony. Not only can guests observe this spectacular display, but they are also encouraged to join in and try the dances themselves.
